About The Position

The Inventory Accounting Process Engineering Manager partners with Product teams, CHEX, and Controllership leadership to ensure financial and accounting requirements are fully integrated into new initiatives, systemic changes, and business process updates. This role is responsible for defining accounting flows, designing new accounting processes, and incorporating knowledge of Finance system design into requirements. The Manager ensures that all business and accounting scenarios are considered during testing, monitoring requirements are established to safeguard accuracy, and sustainable processes are delivered that prevent production issues. The Manager also provides visibility to stakeholders on project impacts, timelines, and reporting implications while guiding a Senior Analyst in execution and analysis.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and / or finance principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to define accounting flows and design new accounting processes that align with business and system requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering across Finance, Product, and IT teams to deliver accurate and sustainable solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, identify defects, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting complex accounting and system topics to leadership.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading cross-functional conversations to resolution.
  • Prior experience leading analysts or project teams, with a focus on development and prioritization.

  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages prior experiences to help develop and recommend solutions; Effectively develops trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams in other towers.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of processes by developing scalable and innovative solutions; Maintains Internal Controls and drive the team through required compliance.
  • Monitors the team's progress against departmental goals; Monitors team's daily activities and has a close track of SLAs.
  • Plans and executes month end/year end processes; Leads regular team calls to address operational topics, improvements and projects that require monitoring and resolution.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship and coaching to direct reports (individual contributors); Provides guidance on daily basis, keeps connected and communicates with the team.
  • Manages transformational projects from planning to execution and post action review; Shares insight and ideas on how to continue to evolve processes and increase efficiency.
