About The Position

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a global accounting firm and/or multinational corporation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance including a CPA or Chartered Accountant designation
  • Hands-on experience with statutory accounting and reporting processes
  • Ability to research and clearly document and communicate international financial accounting issues to corporate management and external auditors
  • Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc), and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other applications
  • Ability to work with a global team of stakeholders across multiple time zones/continents
  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 5%)

Responsibilities

  • International Accounting: Manage accounting processes, close oversight, cash operations and intercompany transactions for all non-US entities while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Statutory Reporting: Ensure the timely preparation and filing of statutory financials in applicable jurisdictions, coordinating with our global outsourced service provider and their local subject matter partner firms and where applicable, local external auditors.
  • Internal Controls and Improvement: Lead the development, approval, and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance worldwide financial operations.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare, review, and disseminate timely financial analyses and reports, while providing guidance on ad hoc accounting issues.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate effective communication between international locations and corporate experts for technical accounting queries and process improvements.
  • Team Management and Development: Perform line management duties for direct reports, including professional development, workload management, and establishing goals to enhance skills and performance.
