JOB SUMMARY TTX owns and operates North America’s largest Intermodal railcar fleet. TTX’s Intermodal railcar fleet is used by our railroad customers to move trailers and containers between Sea Ports or other Network Terminals prior to being delivered by truck to their final destination. The use of the Intermodal rail network, and TTX’s fleet, helps to move consumer products in a safe and efficient manner, reduces carbon emissions and eliminates the need for 280 road freight vehicles for every intermodal train run. The Intermodal Equipment Manager will oversee the daily operation of the 150,000+ unit fleet, ensuring optimal utilization is attained in a fair and equitable manner to our railroad customers. The person in this role will ensure the status of all equipment is maintained in accordance with car contract rules, and lead the preparation of daily, weekly & monthly reports analyzing the status of the fleet. Additionally, this role will serve as the liaison to Revenue Accounting for corrective action on all revenue reporting issues and will have supervisory responsibilities. The Intermodal Equipment Manager will be expected to develop, build on, and apply an understanding of Intermodal equipment, the benefits of pooling, applicable distribution and car hire rules, and TTX enterprise systems to promote usage of the TTX fleet. Some presentations and speaking before committees or other audiences will occur. Shared accountability for maintaining and furthering relationships with railroad contacts in accordance with TTX’s Mission, Vision and Values. Special projects or tasks are assigned as needed and some travel (5-10%) is to be expected.
