About The Position

Exostar enables trusted collaboration across the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) supply chain, supporting critical Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes across complex, multi-enterprise environments. The Manager – Integration Engineering serves as both the people leader for Integration and QA Engineers and the Lead Architect for customer implementations within Professional Services. This role is responsible for defining integration architecture standards, guiding solution design, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and repeatable integrations between Exostar’s SaaS platforms and customer enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise integration expertise, strong architectural leadership, solid object-oriented development experience, and the ability to leverage modern engineering tools — including AI-assisted development platforms — to improve team productivity and solution quality.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in enterprise integration architecture, including REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven models, middleware, and file-based exchanges (SFTP, EDI).
  • Strong experience integrating SaaS platforms with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, and Infor.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain transaction flows within Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, or similar) and sound understanding of software design principles.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to design, query, optimize, and troubleshoot complex relational databases.
  • Experience designing integrations in hybrid cloud and on-premise enterprise environments.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience guiding both engineering and QA functions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems integration, solutions architecture, or SaaS implementation.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering and/or QA teams.
  • Proven track record serving as a lead architect on complex, enterprise integration programs.
  • U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card holder) required due to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance architectural rigor with delivery execution in a Professional Services model.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Opus, or similar platforms) to accelerate design, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience with middleware or iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
  • Familiarity with authentication standards such as OAuth and SAML.
  • Experience working within Aerospace & Defense or other complex B2B supply chain ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of integration testing frameworks, automation strategies, and release management best practices.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales architecture validation and solution scoping.
  • Relevant cloud or architecture certifications.
  • Experience within Aerospace & Defense or similarly complex B2B supply chain environments preferred.
  • Advanced degree or relevant architecture/cloud certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Leadership Serve as the lead integration architect for Professional Services implementations.
  • Define and govern integration architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Review and approve solution designs for complex customer integrations.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of integration solutions.
  • Establish reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Team & Delivery Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Integration Engineers and QA Engineers.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance on integration design, data transformation, and code-level implementation when needed.
  • Oversee end-to-end integration delivery including design, build, test, validation, and go-live readiness.
  • Align QA strategy with architectural standards to ensure solution quality and release confidence.
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex technical and architectural challenges.
  • Manage delivery KPIs including quality metrics, timelines, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer & Cross-Functional Engagement Partner directly with customer IT and business stakeholders to design integration architectures aligned to O2C and P2P workflows.
  • Support pre-sales engagements with architecture validation, scoping, and effort estimation.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide feedback from field implementations and influence roadmap priorities.
