About the position

Newtek Merchant Solutions (NMS) is seeking a Manager, Inside Sales to direct the inside sales team by successfully closing Newtek Merchant Solutions, LLC (NMS) referrals and generating opportunities for NMS and its affiliates' services in a fast paced, client-driven environment. You will lead and support the inside sales team and enhance their skill and abilities through training, coaching, and mentoring, monitoring to meet and exceed the company's goals and objectives. You will monitor and grow your knowledge of the competitive landscape and leverage that knowledge to improve your and the team's effectiveness and performance. You will understand clients' business needs and challenges to deliver new solutions and services that help business owners and that align with the company's vision. Develop and implement sales strategy to achieve sales quota and business goals that align with the company's sales philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage team members assigned to you to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goals established.
  • Actively participates in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training and team development to maintain high productivity and customer service standards.
  • Accountable for tracking, coaching and developing team members for success.
  • Act as a key subject matter when called upon.
  • Enhance understanding and implementation of strategic goals established.
  • Create and oversee the use of standard process workflows.
  • Train and mentor team members and identify development needs across the team, working with senior management to coordinate additional training as needed.
  • Foster open communication with employees by holding regular staff meetings.
  • Track various productivity and performance standards to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods.
  • Analyze team statistics and prepare reports for senior management as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of business-to-business related experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Previous experience assisting in managing and growing a sales team a plus.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail in processing information.
  • Possess professional oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening skills and ability to establish rapport.
  • Dynamic leadership style, adapting to teams' needs.
  • Powerful motivator, enthusiastic and energized.
  • Resourceful with the ability to learn new products, services and processes quickly.
  • Must be self-motivated and extremely results driven.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
