About The Position

The Manager of Infection Prevention at Piedmont Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the infection prevention function at assigned local entities. This role focuses on leading safety and quality performance improvement initiatives to address trends and deficiencies in infection prevention, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a current RN license in Georgia or a Master's degree in Microbiology, Public Health, Biology, Epidemiology, Medical Technology, or a related health/science field.
• Five years of previous work experience in a hospital setting, clinical quality, epidemiology, or performance improvement, preferably in infection prevention.
• Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
• Certification in Public Health (CPH).
• Lean Six Sigma Healthcare or QPI Certifications Black Belt.
• Master's degree in Nursing or other related health/science field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the infection prevention function at assigned local entities.
• Lead and drive safety and quality performance improvement initiatives.
• Address trends and deficiencies in infection prevention identified by the Surveillance and Analysis IP team.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in infection reduction using Lean methodology.
• Manage and support a portfolio of strategic projects using the performance improvement model.
• Ensure compliance of performance improvement activities with regulatory and accreditation bodies.

• Full-time position with competitive salary range of $80K - $101K per year.
