About The Position

Fannie May in Northlake, Illinois, is looking for an experienced forklift operator to move packages and materials throughout the facility. This location is a freezer facility, so the temperatures are lower than a normal warehouse. This individual will need at least one year of experience in a warehouse and will operate; standup forklift, turrets, and reach trucks. Pay: $20.50 per hour. Monday through Friday with overtime when needed. There is a .53 cent differential for 2nd shift. We have an opening on both 1st and 2nd shifts. 1st shift - 5:00A.M - 1:30P.M 2nd shift - 2pm to 10:30pm.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of basic arithmetic, reading level to understand instructions, policies, and procedures.
• At least one year of experience in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring proper quality standards are maintained, including all labels are appropriate and that all products are selected as accurately and efficiently as possible.
• Operate certain machinery; forklifts, stand forklifts, pallet jacks.
• Move all required materials to the correct department within the warehouse.
• Required to perform all duties in accordance with company safety guidelines listed in the company handbook.
• Expected to work safely, and efficiently.
• Responsible for line sanitation and ensuring proper clean up at the end of the shift.
• Participate in on-going training to enhance knowledge and skills.
