About The Position

Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Key competency expectations for the role are the ability to deeply understand and utilize procurement processes, tools, and systems, execute & oversee contract lifecycle management process, be a proven expert in category planning, development & execution, and achieve tangible results in competitive and non-competitive supplier negotiations. - Build strategies that are data-centric, practical, and measurable that clearly connect work to company and business unit priorities - Simplify complex data and trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders - Operate with an owner mindset, anticipating risks, closing gaps, and delivering on commitments - Collaborate across functions to remove obstacles and accelerate decision-making - Drive value while protecting service and supply continuity, making trade-offs explicit and transparent - Own category strategy, planning, and sourcing execution across major warehousing-related categories (e.g., 3PL services for finished goods, warehouse space for non-finished goods, pallets, spotting & shuttling, operating supplies) - Develop multi-year category visions and strategies grounded in market intelligence, cost drivers, supplier dynamics, and internal business contexts - Lead strategic sourcing events (RFx), supplier selection/optimization, and award decisions; translate category strategy into a prioritized project portfolio and roadmap - Establish and track measurable category performance goals (value delivery, service, risk, quality, compliance) and report progress with Finance/Data Analytics - Lead complex negotiations and contract execution in alignment with policies and procurement lifecycle standards - Build and sustain executive-ready stakeholder relationships; influence decisions across enterprise-wide partners to optimize total category spend - Segment, develop, and manage suppliers at the category level; lead Supplier Business Reviews and serve as a high-level escalation point for performance and risk issues - Identify, evaluate, and execute value-generating initiatives based on complexity, resourcing, implementation time, and financial impact - Ensure robust sourcing process adherence across projects; identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve cycle time - Maintain deep category expertise through ongoing monitoring of market conditions, pricing indices, and emerging innovation/technology; translate insights into action for stakeholders - Support major supplier or operational issues by coordinating with stakeholders to drive resolution and protect business continuity - Provide day-to-day direction and oversight to shared services team supporting warehousing procurement activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 -7+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement or combination of direct Warehouse, 3PL Services, Pallets, and Operating Supplies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with eProcurement Source-to-Pay tools desirable (e.g. SAP, Ariba, & Service Now a plus)
  • Experience in Supplier Performance & Risk Management tools desirable

  • New Hire Base Salary Range: $88,660.00 - Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
