About The Position

Nintendo of America Inc. is seeking a strategic sourcing and procurement manager to oversee a team responsible for managing indirect spend categories. This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing contract lifecycles, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with strategic objectives. The position is based in Redmond, WA, and is hybrid, requiring some in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six to eight (6-8) years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management experience required.
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, contract law, quality management, budgeting, project management, cost/price and value analysis, supplier relationship & performance management, and risk management required.
  • Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following indirect spend categories required: retail marketing, advertising, experiential marketing, social media & influencers, public relations, IT hardware, software, technology solutions, professional/consulting services, facilities management for office, warehouse, and/or retail store locations.
  • Attention to detail and strong negotiation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Intermediate reporting using Excel, Tableau or similar software preferred.
  • Prior experience working with an ERP system required (i.e. Oracle, SAP).
  • Strong proficiency in using strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance management systems and tools required.
  • Knowledge of Nintendo products preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field, or equivalent required.
  • Professional certification in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or equivalent preferred.
  • Professional certification in contracting, project management, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the day-to-day activities of staff, assigning work, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Participates in the development and leads the execution of category and sourcing strategies and tactics that align with the broader organizational and team goals.
  • Manages, reviews, and authorizes all aspects of the contract lifecycle for low- to moderate-risk procurement contracts.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet legal requirements, mitigate risk, and align with strategic objectives.
  • Leads staff in sourcing, negotiating, conducting due diligence, and purchasing semi-complex, custom, or strategic goods, services, or inventory items.
  • Partners with internal customers and cross-functional team members to streamline activities, identify opportunities for improvement, manage risk, and resolve conflict.
  • Leads staff in the planning & execution of supplier onboarding and performance monitoring activities, building and leveraging a diverse supply base to achieve the best value for Nintendo.
  • Directs the design, implementation, and communication of new processes, technology solutions, and reporting that improve efficiencies and support evolving business needs.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains department policies, procedures, and guidelines that reflect critical business processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
