About The Position

The Manager in Training (MIT) position at AutoZone is a transitional role designed to prepare individuals for promotion into a Retail Store Management position. This role focuses on leadership training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise, offering hands-on assignments and structured learning opportunities. Successful MITs can progress into management within 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance. AutoZone's Store Management team, including MITs, is responsible for driving store performance, fostering a productive team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. They are expected to Live The Pledge and deliver WOW! Customer Service while executing store operations with excellence. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs lead by example, demonstrating initiative and strong leadership, and contribute to AutoZone’s mission of providing trusted automotive solutions through operational oversight and team development.
