About The Position

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. Managers and MITs play a key leadership role, expected to Live The Pledge and deliver WOW! Customer Service while executing store operations with excellence. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs lead by example, demonstrating initiative and strong leadership. Through operational oversight and team development, store management supports AutoZone’s mission of providing trusted automotive solutions. The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a transitional role designed to prepare you for promotion into a Retail Store Management position. With a focus on leadership training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise, you’ll receive hands-on assignments and structured learning opportunities. Within 8-12 weeks, you could progress into management—depending on your prior experience and performance.
