About the position

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Manager in Training (MIT) to join our Cedar City/St. George car rental team. This is a hands-on leadership development role designed to prepare you for a future Branch Manager position. As an MIT, you’ll gain experience in all aspects of rental operations—customer service, fleet logistics, team leadership, and revenue management—while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to customers at the rental counter, on the lot, and over the phone.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues and ensure a seamless rental experience.
  • Promote company products and services, including upgrades, coverages, and fuel options.
  • Learn to manage daily rental operations, including vehicle check-in/check-out, lot coordination, and fleet movement.
  • Monitor vehicle availability and maintenance schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Support efforts to keep vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for rental.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to supervise, train, and motivate frontline staff.
  • Learn best practices in scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop leadership and decision-making skills through mentorship and on-the-job training.
  • Learn how to manage branch profitability, control expenses, and maximize fleet utilization.
  • Participate in local marketing and customer relationship-building initiatives.
  • Understand and analyze key performance metrics such as sales targets, utilization rates, and customer satisfaction scores.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Utah driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Open to working flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Must be at least 18+ years old.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and longevity with previous work history.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
