About The Position

Join Panera as a Team Lead Manager in Charge, where you can learn, laugh, and be supported while reaching your goals. This role is essential to the success of our bakery-cafe, ensuring that both customers and associates have a great experience. You will report directly to the General Manager or Operating Partner and be responsible for developing people, managing team performance, and fostering a warm, inclusive team culture.

Requirements

  • At least 90 days of experience working in a Panera bakery-cafe.
  • Ability to direct, motivate, coach, and train others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in all positions on either a service or production track: Service (Coffee, Barista, Bakery Backer, Dining Room, Cashier) or Production (Prep, Soups, Salads/Hot Entrees, Sandwiches, Consolidator).
  • Commitment to food safety and health safety.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • AOP Approval required.
  • Completion of Certified Manager Program (CMP), including ServSafe certification (or ability to pass).
  • Must submit to a background check and pass requirements.

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service industry.
