About The Position
The Manager in Training position at Ashley Furniture HomeStores of Metro NY & NJ is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their leadership skills while driving sales and enhancing the guest experience. This role is pivotal in hiring, developing, and managing a sales team that is focused on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and fostering a positive work environment. The Manager in Training will be responsible for maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor, ensuring that the team is engaged and motivated to meet their sales goals. In this role, you will lead your team by implementing FDE's seven critical sales leadership processes, which include managing staffing levels, onboarding new team members, and engaging in performance management. You will also be expected to demonstrate mastery of FDE's Leadership Toolkit and participate in various training sessions to enhance your leadership abilities. The position requires a proactive approach to coaching and developing other leaders within the store, such as Assistant Selling Managers and Coaches, to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team. The Manager in Training will focus on essential sales KPIs, including achieving the store sales budget, managing sales per guest, and ensuring the showroom floor is always guest-ready. Regular attendance at the assigned store is crucial, and the role requires a commitment to working a minimum of 45 hours per week, including weekends.
