About The Position

The Ground Systems & Services (GSS) Strategic Business Unit is responsible for driving business growth in the ground systems development, operations & sustainment, and technical services markets. This business unit focuses on designing, building and integrating ground systems in support of air and space-based assets, providing operational support for mission platforms and instruments and offering scientific and engineering expertise to our customers. What You'll Do: Lead the development and execution of a complex ground development program. Manage all aspects of program delivery, including technical performance, schedule, and cost. Coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization. Provide solid leadership and direction to cross-functional teams. Apply project management best practices to ensure successful program outcomes. Oversee large-scale program operations from planning through execution. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active Top Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Solid knowledge of program management principles, practices, and tools, including Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering Management or equivalent.
  • Experience with ground development programs, including system design, integration, and testing.
  • Knowledge of military operations and sustainment.
  • Familiarity with BAE Systems' product lines and technologies.
  • Subcontract Management.
