About The Position

Manage a team of security engineers responsible for securing Amazon’s infrastructure from external and internal threats. Provide technical oversight to accurately assess security vulnerabilities, risks, issues, and develop mitigation plans. Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security‐focused tools and services including project leadership roles. Develop and interpret policies and procedures. Optimize and enhance existing vulnerability management processes and reduce operational overhead. Develop and deliver training materials and performing general security awareness and specific security technology training. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies. Participate in security operations support, incident handling, and projects that develop new intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience.
  • Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) hands-on experience with information security technologies including: (a) OS vulnerability management platforms; (b) intrusion detection/prevention, (c) access control, (d) CSIRT-focused systems, (e) Application Security; and (f) Cloud Security vulnerabilities; (2) delivering scalable application and infrastructure information security solutions; (3) programming in Java, C, C++, Perl, Ruby, or Python; and (4) knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing, source code review, configuring advanced runtime and static vulnerability testing tools and the development of exploits.
