About The Position

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now. Major energy infrastructure projects depend on more than engineering and construction expertise—they depend on the ability to support and sustain large workforces operating in remote environments. At Worley, the Camps Construction Manager plays a critical role in enabling safe and productive project execution by delivering the infrastructure that allows teams to live and work across some of the most remote regions of Alaska. This role works closely with construction leadership, logistics teams, and project stakeholders to plan, construct, operate, relocate, and ultimately remove a network of workforce camps that support a mega-pipeline construction program stretching across hundreds of miles. Success in this role requires a leader who understands the realities of Arctic operations, large-scale logistics, and the complex coordination required to support thousands of workers in a 24-hour construction environment. Purpose of the role Play an integral role in delivering and managing the workforce infrastructure that supports a major pipeline construction project across Alaska. You will be responsible for the planning, construction, operation, relocation, and removal of multiple remote workforce camps that enable safe and efficient construction across several hundred miles of pipeline corridor. This includes overseeing the full lifecycle of camp infrastructure—from initial site planning and construction through sustainment operations, staged relocation as the pipeline progresses, and final demobilization and site restoration. Your leadership ensures the camps function as reliable operational hubs for a large workforce operating in an Arctic environment while meeting project schedule, cost, safety, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience on mega-projects, particularly large pipeline or energy infrastructure developments.
  • Proven experience planning and constructing workforce camps that support large construction programs.
  • Demonstrated capability managing the full lifecycle of remote camps, including construction, operation, relocation, and demobilization.
  • Strong background in logistics and sustainment planning for large remote workforces.
  • Significant experience operating in Arctic, sub-Arctic, or extreme cold-weather environments.
  • Experience supporting 24-hour construction operations in remote locations.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant construction, infrastructure, or project management experience, including leadership roles.
  • University degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning, project controls, cost management, and contractor oversight.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex challenges and implement practical solutions aligned with project goals.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors across remote project locations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team engagement, safety, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the construction of 15+ workforce camps located along a multi-hundred-mile pipeline corridor in Alaska.
  • Lead the site planning, layout development, and construction sequencing for camps designed to support large workforces operating in remote and extreme environments.
  • Ensure camps are delivered on schedule, within or below budget, and in compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Plan and oversee logistics and sustainment operations, including transportation, utilities, materials supply, and operational infrastructure required to support remote camp environments.
  • Manage the ongoing operations of camps during construction phases, ensuring facilities remain safe, reliable, and capable of supporting continuous workforce needs.
  • Coordinate and lead the strategic relocation of camps as pipeline construction progresses along the corridor.
  • Oversee camp demobilization, removal, and site restoration activities at the conclusion of construction phases.
  • Ensure camp infrastructure supports 24-hour construction operations in Arctic and cold-weather conditions.
  • Manage contractors, construction teams, and service providers involved in camp construction and operations.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to maintain schedule and cost performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, particularly those governing remote Arctic construction and temporary infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, including logistics, construction, and camp operations personnel.
  • Develop and present project updates, strategic recommendations, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of systems, processes, and tools supporting remote infrastructure delivery and workforce sustainment.
