About The Position

We are currently looking for a Residential Manager for the overall operations of assigned residential programs. This position collaborates with staff across disciplines (e.g., DSPs, Nursing, HR, Payroll, Clinical) to promote an environment that supports the growth, independence, health, and safety of individuals served. -Cranston, RI 02920 About Us: Accesspoint RI is a nonprofit organization assisting individuals with developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ongoing access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • At least two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Completing required training (CPR, NCI, Human Rights, Management, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures and to exercise independent judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic payroll systems.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Model and promote the guiding principles, mission, and values of AccessPoint RI.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, fairness, and professionalism in all interactions; foster these behaviors among staff.
  • Provide on-call coverage as required.
  • Plan, facilitate, and document Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and staff meetings.
  • Conduct 4-month and annual performance reviews in collaboration with the Assistant Manager.
  • Hold regular supervision meetings with DSPs and document accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, including FMLA, Workers’ Comp, progressive discipline, and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Manager.
  • Oversee client case records and documentation.
  • Support other program locations as needed.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork among program staff.
  • Ensure availability and appropriate storage of household supplies (food, personal care, cleaning products, etc.).
  • Oversee medication protocols under the guidance of the RN.
  • Ensure staff are trained in medication administration.
  • Verify medication orders, administration, and documentation.
  • Review and follow up on medication errors promptly.
  • Provide support for medical appointments as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all infection control, safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing and fire safety regulations.
  • Adhere to agency financial procedures, including: Individual funds management Bank reconciliations Petty cash oversight
  • Responsible for managing residential attendance, activity, and transportation billing
  • Complete and submit monthly financial audit reports to the Residential Director.
  • Completion of accurate and timely billing.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, supervision, and training of Assistant Managers and DSPs.
  • Respond to emergencies and support staff coverage as needed.
  • Maintain staffing schedules within budgeted hours, monitor overtime, and fill vacancies per policy and CBA.
  • Ensure staff training and certifications are up to date.
  • Collaborate on staff coverage and support across programs.
  • Submit supply orders bi-weekly.
  • Monitor and document ISP goals and community participation weekly.
  • Maintain oversight of daily documentation and case notes in Therap.
  • Safely operate adaptive equipment, vans, phones, and office equipment.
  • Must lift 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must perform physical intervention techniques (NCI) when required.
