About The Position

Lead and manage a team to execute cell therapy manufacturing processes (CAR-T) using cGMP standards. Drive daily operations, troubleshoot issues, oversee compliance, and implement process improvements. Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation in support of BMS values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ cGMP cell therapy or bioprocessing experience; 2+ years leadership
  • Experience in aseptic processing, cell expansion, separation, and cryopreservation preferred
  • Cleanroom work; PPE required
  • Lift/push up to 30/50 lbs
  • Assigned shift work (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach manufacturing staff; promote teamwork and accountability
  • Oversee daily production, resource assignment, and compliance with SOPs
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and training completion
  • Support troubleshooting, investigations, and process improvement initiatives
  • Drive safety and inspection readiness standards
  • Hire, mentor, and develop staff; conduct performance reviews
  • Communicate operational updates and coordinate with cross-functional teams

  • The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
