About The Position

The Indirect Tax Manager will play a key role in supporting the global indirect tax function by working with the director and head of tax to help oversee the company’s international indirect tax operations. This position is responsible for assisting with compliance related to local VAT/GST and other indirect tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions, while supporting the implementation of strategies to manage tax exposure. The Indirect Tax Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, support important projects, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the company’s indirect tax compliance programs. This role offers chances to develop and advance within the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field (advanced degree and/or CPA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in indirect tax, with a focus on international indirect compliance and advisory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and interpreting indirect tax laws, rulings, and regulations.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects to meet deadlines in a multinational setting, implementing tax-efficient strategies and managing audits.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to articulate complex tax technical matters to stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external advisors across different time zones.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with tax automation tools such as Alteryx, Oracle, NetSuite, Billing Platform, and Vertex.

Responsibilities

  • Support global indirect tax compliance by helping to develop and implement tax planning strategies to ensure adherence to evolving VAT/GST laws and reduce tax liabilities.
  • Monitor changes in international tax regulations, assess their impact, and recommend actions to help maintain compliance.
  • Assist in documenting and updating country-specific indirect tax procedures, such as transaction taxability matrices, and help evaluate the tax implications of new products and business models.
  • Support audit responses and manage tax notices, contributing to the company’s defense and planning efforts.
  • Participate in process improvements and system enhancements for indirect tax compliance, including e-invoicing and non-ERP local systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to international finance teams on indirect tax rules and compliance requirements as needed.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders and participate in international tax meetings as required.
  • Manage and deliver multiple high-priority projects on time, keeping the tax team informed with relevant updates.
