Generally responsible for a small group or program, with both administrative and client caseload responsibilities. This includes making budget recommendations, having input into hiring decisions with veto authority, and being responsible for staffing various programs. The role involves coaching staff and providing input into performance evaluations. The position is generally responsible for a small group or program such as IOP/Adolescent/Crisis Team, and is responsible for program design and implementation within the unit. Additionally, the role monitors access indicators and is responsible for utilization management. Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis and reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status, generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.

  • Minimum two (2) years of post license, paid experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Masters degree in applied behavioral science required.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California).
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Knowledge of state regulations with regard to ethics, treatment, patient rights and confidentiality.
  • If Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, must meet couples and families requirement or complete within two (2) years of hire.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
