The HSSE Manager is responsible for providing independent, package-level HSSE leadership, governance and execution oversight for assigned package within the Taean Offshore Wind Project (TWP). Operating in a highly complex offshore environment, the role manages HSSE risks arising from marine operations, offshore lifting, vessel interfaces, SIMOPS and cable installation, where activities are highly interdependent and execution conditions are dynamic. Offshore wind HSSE management requires advanced judgement, directive authority, and real-time decision-making to manage interfaces between multiple contractors, packages, and regulatory requirements. The HSSE manager develops, adapts, and drives package-specific, risk-based HSSE strategies, addressing offshore hazards and execution constraints while ensuring alignment with Vena Group HSSE framework, JV requirements, and Korean regulatory obligations. Acting as the HSSE authority for assigned packages, the role leads HSSE governance across the full contractor lifecycle—from tender evaluation and onboarding through offshore execution and operational readiness. The position reviews, challenges, and endorses key contractor HSSE deliverables, validates package-specific risk controls, and provides execution-critical recommendations on contractor readiness, mobilization, and high-risk activities in accordance with defined escalation and approval frameworks. Working as a peer-level partner within package leadership, the role provides directive HSSE input that directly influences contractor selection, execution sequencing, schedule assurance, and safe offshore operations through independent professional judgement. The role requires authoritative and cross-cultural communication and influencing capability to align multinational contractors and internal stakeholders, resolve competing priorities between safety, schedule, and constructability, and ensure consistent HSSE expectations across assigned scopes. Operating within a rapidly evolving offshore wind industry, the role is required to design and implement project and package-specific HSSE solutions where established standards may be limited or insufficient. This includes developing new HSSE approaches for offshore safe access methods, adapting controls to offshore constraints, and leveraging digital tools, data, and lessons learned to enhance risk visibility and execution reliability. Lessons learned and HSSE performance outcomes from assigned packages are captured and shared with project and regional HSSE teams, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting the evolution of Vena Group and regional HSSE standards and practices.
