At PALFINGER, safety is more than a requirement; it is the foundation of everything we do. As our Health and Safety Manager, you will lead thevelopment andlivery of safety programs that protect our teams working across a large fleet of mobile service trucks in diverse field environments. From customer sites to remote locations and our own facilities, you will ensure every service professional has the training, tools, and support to work safely whilelivering top-quality maintenance, repair, and support. This role can be located near Tiffin, OH, Charlotte, NC, and Birmingham, AL.

  • Oversee safety protocols for mobile service truck operations, including vehicle inspections, driving practices, roads procedures, and field service activities.
  • Develop andliver safety training for mobile service technicians covering DOT regulations, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and job hazard analysis.
  • Lead investigations of vehicle accnts, injuries, and near-misses, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable fral, state, and local regulations through regular audits and monitoring.
  • Perform risk assessments for field operations, collaborate with fleet management on mitigation strategies, and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Track and report safety KPIs, including incnt trends, audit results, and training completion, providing updates and recommendations to lership.
  • Bachelor'sgree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in mobile service or industrial fleet environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Experience with safety management systems and incnt tracking software.
  • Excellent communication, training, and lership skills.
  • Safety certification a plus (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30).
  • Experience with heavy equipment or industrial service operations.
  • Familiarity with GPS fleet tracking and telematics systems.
