About The Position

The Manager, HR Shared Services is responsible for leading the shared services team, ensuring that HR inquiries are addressed professionally and promptly. This role involves operational support in various HR functions, including onboarding new hires and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-service oriented environment, including 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and governing laws.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and applicable software applications.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Established critical thinking and analytical skills with conflict resolution experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills focused on improving efficiency.
  • Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises day-to-day activities of the team and new hire onboarding activities, including processing background checks and credentialing.
  • Researches discrepancies from background checks and coordinates resolutions with impacted parties.
  • Assists in deploying a range of defined HR processes and practices within the organization.
  • Manages HRIS system requirements and enhancements, collaborating with IT to improve processes.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of workforce information in HRIS, conducting audits as necessary.
  • Coordinates and assists with system-wide internal audits, resolving action items and findings.
  • Utilizes ServiceNow case management software to resolve, log, track, and escalate employee inquiries.
  • Monitors departmental staffing to ensure coverage for incoming calls and onboarding activities.
  • Oversees employee debt repayment for work agreement programs such as scholarships and sign-on bonuses.
  • Serves as a mentor to develop and guide team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
