About The Position

The Manager, HR Information Technology is a working people manager responsible for providing leadership, hands-on technical contribution, and delivery oversight for systems supporting Payroll, Human Resources, and Workforce Management. This role manages a team of technical analysts responsible for system configuration, development, integration, and support, while also ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all technical work delivered internally and by external vendors. This position serves as a key governance and coordination point between IT, Payroll, HR, Workforce Management, and third-party vendors, ensuring reliable, compliant, and well-documented system solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams supporting HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise HR and payroll platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Employee Central Payroll, or comparable systems.
  • Proven ability to review technical designs, documentation, and code/configuration for accuracy and quality.
  • Experience coordinating and overseeing vendor-delivered system work.
  • Strong understanding of system development lifecycles, change management, and technical documentation standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to provide reliable effort estimates and manage competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant SAP or HR technology certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • People Management & Leadership
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop SuccessFactors Technical Analysts and Senior SuccessFactors Technical Analysts.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, provide ongoing feedback, and complete formal performance evaluations.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, workload planning, and career development for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and quality-focused team culture.
  • Hands-On Technical Leadership
  • Actively participate in the configuration, development, and support of Payroll, HR, and Workforce Management systems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex system and payroll processing issues.
  • Review and provide guidance on advanced configurations, enhancements, and production support activities.
  • Partner with senior technical resources on complex investigations, solution design, and system improvements.
  • Design, Development & Documentation Oversight
  • Review, validate, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of design, development, and deployment documentation produced by the team.
  • Establish documentation standards and ensure consistency across all Payroll, HR, and Workforce Management systems.
  • Ensure system designs and technical solutions align with business requirements, architectural standards, and compliance needs.
  • Vendor Coordination & Quality Assurance
  • Coordinate configuration, development, and documentation activities performed by vendors on behalf of Trulieve.
  • Review and validate vendor-delivered solutions to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer and documentation are provided for vendor-delivered work.
  • Hold vendors accountable to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Estimation, Planning & Delivery
  • Provide effort estimates and timelines for configuration, development, enhancements, and support work performed by the team.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize work requests and balance operational support with project initiatives in coordination with the HRIS Delivery Manager.
  • Support planning for system enhancements, regulatory changes, releases, and payroll cycles.
  • Track delivery commitments and identify risks or capacity constraints.
  • Governance, Compliance & Operational Excellence
  • Support payroll audits, compliance reviews, and control assessments.
  • Monitor system stability, issue trends, and recurring defects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper system controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
