About The Position

This position is responsible for managing activities and personnel associated with providing quality home medical equipment within the department's mission, demonstrating the departmental values. Responsibilities include supervising, coordinating and evaluating services related to program development, staff development, training and evaluation, customer service, processes of admission, discharge and developing hospital and referral relationships, coordinating billing, fiscal management and projections in conjunction with the HME Service Line Manager and/or Director, and meeting federal and state regulations for licensure, compliance, and accreditation. Supervise and coach staff and create an environment for employee growth and development. Maintain fiscal accountability and responsibility by establishing and attaining performance standards in coordination with the HME Service Line Manager for billing, accounts receivable, departmental expenses. Advocate a positive client experience. Support purchasing and processing of inventory in a timely and cost efficient manner. Also assists in preparation of budgets and manages expenses. Engage in futuristic thinking as new industry standards, initiatives, ideas surface for consideration within Home Medical Equipment.

Requirements

  • Required High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Required Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Minimum of three years' relevant experience Previous supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in a managing or supervising role from a home medical agency and experience in interpreting government regulations affecting reimbursement, scope and accreditation of services Preferred
