About The Position

The HIV/STI Program Manager at Terros Health is responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical aspects of HIV Prevention programs. This role focuses on increasing engagement in care for racial and ethnic minority individuals at risk for HIV or who are HIV positive, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and managing program performance. The manager will work closely with the Director of Community Relations to coordinate services, monitor staff performance, and seek funding opportunities, all while promoting a compassionate and professional environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in HIV/STI prevention, public health, or LGBTQ+ issues.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience as specified.
  • Supervisory experience with the ability to conduct client reviews and provide consultation to staff.
  • Knowledge of internal, state, and federal laws on testing and HIV/STIs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages.
  • Experience working with the homeless and near homeless populations.
  • Lived experience with the Trans-Gender Community and/or Gender Non-Conforming Communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the service provision of the HIV/STI Programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and contractual arrangements.
  • Monitor staff performance and oversee scheduling.
  • Provide budgetary support and manage the purchase of goods and supplies.
  • Coordinate collaborative efforts with other agencies for service delivery.
  • Participate in grant development and write grant applications to secure funding.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of program activities.
  • Prepare correspondence, data, and other necessary information.
