About The Position

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of Ambulatory electronic health record, HIM standards, and Health Information Management projects related to ambulatory EHR implementations, and content capture for the enterprise across all Intermountain regions. Performs tactical execution in alignment with HIM strategy and vision. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings. Requirements

  • Two years demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare is required.
  • 3 years' experience working with electronic health records is required.
  • Managing and leading large healthcare projects is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, healthcare business management, information technology or related experience preferred.
  • RHIT/RHIA or equivalent healthcare certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring department performance through metrics and KPIs to ensure department meets monthly productivity and quality goals.
  • Participates in establishing mechanisms to design, measure, maintain, and improve the performance and quality of department services.
  • Participates in the development and management of team budget.
  • Partners with the department director and leadership team to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitates collaboration of cross-functional teams in a project environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency.
  • Develops action plans in line with meeting and organizational strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Works closely with vendor account manager to ensure systems meet operational requirements.
  • Manages relationships with project stakeholders including governance, leadership, end-users, and consultants.
  • Has strong industry knowledge that can develop innovative solutions.
  • Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of a department/unit team and interdepartmentally to facilitate that department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary committees throughout the organization.
