About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a qualified individual to manage Health Information Management (HIM) applications and data management. This role involves overseeing HIM System Analysts who support all HIM services, functions, reports, and analytical data. The individual will be the primary HIM Liaison working with IT to ensure the successful execution of BHSF projects, new systems implementation, system upgrades, and proper maintenance. The position also entails ensuring a successful transition of HIM services related to acquisitions and/or new services. The manager will be responsible for HIM projects, assisting with planning and overseeing all aspects of these projects, including documentation of issues, follow-up, and resolution. Additionally, the role supports BHSF projects and initiatives that require Project Manager knowledge and expertise, as well as establishing appropriate system user access.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HIM Administration, Health Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in a large, multi-hospital health system with extensive knowledge in HL7 interface application, EMR integration, database structures & schema, and computer scripting.
• Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector.
• Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in software development & web technologies.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within given parameters.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Information Science (MIS) preferred.
• Certified project manager professional (PMP/PRINCE II) preferred.
