About The Position

The position involves actively promoting and marketing MercyOne's prevention and wellness services to area employers and coordinating relationships with health and wellbeing vendors. The role serves as a liaison to Trinity Health/MercyOne entities, coordinating direct health outreach programming across all divisions. Responsibilities include managing local supervisors and team leads, ensuring adequate staffing levels, working with accounting for invoicing corporate clients, and developing and maintaining policies. The position also involves managing daily operations, product line development, budget compliance, and financial reporting. Additionally, the role includes coordinating health-related classes and maintaining knowledge of disease risk factors and wellness aspects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, nutrition, nursing, or related health field required.
  • Valid Iowa Driver's/Chauffeurs License required.
  • Must meet Mercy's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and be at least 18 years of age.
  • BLS for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
  • 5+ years' experience in disease prevention/lifestyle modification/health coaching/health and wellbeing areas required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promotes and markets MercyOne's prevention and wellness services to area employers.
  • Coordinates and maintains relationships with assigned health and wellbeing vendors and contractors.
  • Serves as liaison to Trinity Health/MercyOne entities for collaboration on wellbeing interests.
  • Coordinates direct to employer health outreach programming for MercyOne across all Divisions.
  • Manages local supervisors and team leads.
  • Assists local teams to maintain adequate staffing levels to meet employer needs.
  • Works with accounting and finance for invoicing corporate clients and ensuring payment.
  • Develops and maintains current policies.
  • Manages daily operations, product line development, annual budget development, and compliance.
  • Coordinates and potentially teaches health-related classes on exercise, nutrition, and stress management.
  • Serves as a liaison to MercyOne Clinical Labs for the Health and Wellbeing team.
  • Coordinates transport of supplies and overall flow of participants at events.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on disease risk factors and prevention/wellness.
  • Monitors clinical lab results and questionnaires.
  • Provides input for program maintenance and development.
