About The Position

The Harvest Manager is responsible for overseeing daily cannabis harvest operations at their facility during the post- life stages of the plant, from harvest to final cure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a high-volume production facility or within a cannabis cultivation facility.
  • 2+ years’ previous management/supervisory experience in a regulated field that adheres to health and safety policies and procedures required.
  • Comfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces.
  • Able to climb, squat, bend, twist, stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, and able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
  • Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 year(s) of management/supervisory experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
  • Operations or performance improvement skill sets preferred.
  • Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate Harvest team by providing updated production goals to be met and exceeded.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Harvest schedule and production plan that is used daily to prioritize current batches through processing.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to Assistant Manager, Leads, and Specialists.
  • Manage inventory of harvested cannabis material throughout the Harvest process: wet trim, dry room, cure, dry trim, etc.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and present data for leadership review, coordinating with Data Analytics as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain the optimal dry room environmental conditions by adjusting HVAC systems, humidifier, etc. to prevent mold and crop loss.
  • Ensure all barcoded inventory is accurately documented in our track and trace systems.
  • Maintain the Harvest productivity tracking system through each stage of the process to measure efficiency, performance and report on success.
  • Delegate duties to harvest staff to ensure environmental controls and product quality are appropriately maintained.
  • Ensure that all QC/QA protocols are being followed and maintained.
  • Report on daily progress, updates and adherence to forecasts to Director of Harvest.
  • Follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set by the State and municipality in which we operate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
