About The Position

As a Manager, Growth within the Prospecting Engine, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a strong, healthy pipeline of high-value opportunities for WPP Media. Working under the guidance of the Group Director, Prospecting, and the Executive Director, Marketing, Comms & Growth, you will focus on executing targeted prospecting activities, activating content to engage prospects, and supporting the nurturing of client relationships. You will contribute to market intelligence efforts and help ensure that prospecting activities are aligned with WPP Media's overall growth strategy. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of prospecting best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting Strategy & Pipeline Management Support:
  • Support the identification and prioritization of target prospects aligned with WPP Media's strategic growth priorities.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate and segmented prospect database.
  • Contribute to balancing the pipeline across sectors, opportunity sizes, and timelines.
  • Monitor and flag pipeline gaps or risks to leadership.
  • Content Activation & Engagement:
  • Execute content activation plans provided by the Marketing & Comms Lead against target accounts.
  • Utilize provided content (e.g., thought leadership, case studies, trend reports, event invites) to open doors, spark conversations, and deepen relationships with prospects.
  • Tailor and personalize content for specific decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  • Ensure content deployment aligns with pre-pitch, during-pitch, and post-pitch engagement strategies.
  • Client Relationship Nurturing:
  • Execute pre-pitch activities, using targeted content and insights to inspire prospects and build trust.
  • Support during-pitch engagement by reinforcing key pitch themes through targeted touchpoints and relevant content drops.
  • Maintain contact and nurture relationships with prospects post-pitch, sharing relevant updates, insights, and invitations.
  • Market and Account Intelligence:
  • Conduct research on target companies, categories, and decision-makers to uncover opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify prospecting triggers.
  • Support the sharing of intelligence with Marketing & Comms and Growth Leadership to inform content and pursuit strategies.
  • Track, Report, and Optimize Prospecting:
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, next steps, and conversion status.
  • Assist in generating regular pipeline health reports for Growth Leadership.
  • Support the gathering of feedback from prospects on content relevance and effectiveness to refine future outreach.
  • Team Leadership & Development (Junior Members):
  • Provide guidance and feedback to junior prospecting team members.
  • Help foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the prospecting team.
  • Support the embedding of prospecting best practices across the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Pitch Engine Leads to ensure prospecting activities are aligned with pitch strategy.
  • Support the integration of prospecting insights into pitch narratives and solution design.
  • Work with the Design Engine to ensure prospect-facing materials are visually compelling and on-brand.
