Join Takeda as a Manager of GPO & IDN Contracting, where you will act as the key business partner with Managed Markets, PDT BU, Legal, and Finance to guide the evaluation of new GPO and IDN opportunities. In this role, you will participate in the business case process to review opportunities and assist in the evaluation of proposals to ensure they meet the business unit's financial and strategic objectives. You will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) contracts, bids, and direct pricing agreements for the USBU. The overall scope includes approximately 23 GPO and 265 IDN contracts, accounting for about 30% of USBU revenue and 75% of the PDTBU revenue. Your responsibilities will include negotiating with external customers and internal partners, acting as a subject matter expert regarding the impact and risk of terms and conditions memorialized within contracts, and advising appropriate actions to maintain contracting integrity. You will also provide leadership and strategic direction for a team of exempt-level employees, ensuring that the team has appropriate development opportunities and holds team members accountable for achieving their goals. In this position, you will provide high-level contracting support, including drafting and editing contract documents, executing contracts, managing deadlines relative to contract expirations, and conducting post-contract evaluations for customer accounts to achieve favorable economic and/or strategic terms. You will independently interact with Legal, Managed Markets, PDT BU, and external customers to discuss business issues, ensuring that business deals meet or exceed the requirements of the corporation and the department. Additionally, you will oversee the agreement compliance process, ensuring both performance compliance and compliance with terms and conditions, and recommend adjustments if necessary.
