About The Position

The Manager, Global Medical Information - Oncology is responsible for providing accurate and timely medical information for oncology-related therapeutic areas. This role involves responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers, developing and maintaining medical content, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position also includes representing AbbVie at scientific conferences and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance medical information delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, PA, Pharmacy, PhD in Health Sciences, or MD/DO program; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or 4+ years in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Substantial understanding of relevant therapeutic areas required.
• Mastery of computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical information inquiry repositories.

Nice To Haves

• Drug Information residency preferred.
• Medical writing skills highly desired.
• Experience in providing innovative solutions for medical information delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate development of global content (GC) and summarize literature and clinical guidelines.
• Assist in the development and approval of Data on File in accordance with established policies and practice standards.
• Ensure content conveys a clear and appropriate medical message and review complex medical content.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Represent AbbVie MI at global and key scientific conferences as required.
• Evaluate data and maintain an in-depth understanding of product knowledge and associated disease states.
• Serve as an active member on cross-functional teams, representing the Medical Information function.
• Partner with internal colleagues to create relevant core content to meet customer needs.
• Provide innovative solutions for delivering medical information to customers.
• Assist in the development of the Medical Value proposition for AbbVie reimbursement communications.
