This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance multiple priorities, interact confidently with high-level executives, and manage communications needs across multiple time zones. The Manager of Global Communications is a highly visible point of contact for the global communications team. This includes managing internal and external communications, assisting with global events, and media relations. The position requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and independent judgment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with senior business leaders and global teams, both internally at Virgin Music Group, and externally with partners and the global industry. How You’ll CREATE: Project manage and support global communications initiatives. Collaborate across departments and regions to research, develop, and execute communications and brand marketing efforts. Manage conference activities, event logistics, and related deliverables. Coordinate advertising and sponsorship projects. Conduct research on internal and external communications, social media, products, events, and sponsorship opportunities. Draft PR and marketing materials, including press releases, newsletter copy, and promotional content. Own end-to-end production of multiple weekly internal and external newsletters, including content strategy, copywriting, layout/design, asset creation, and distribution. Maintain media databases, distribution platforms, and communication lists. Build and maintain relationships with media and industry professionals. Support internal communications initiatives. Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors. Support executive speaking engagements. Assist in creating internal and external presentations. Handle special projects as assigned. Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions.
  • Strong research and data organization skills.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Positive attitude and ability to build relationships across multiple functions and business units.
  • Global mindset, with the ability to work across multiple time zones and navigate cultural sensitivities.
  • Experience with Outlook, MuckRack, Cision, Airtable, Dotdigital, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the music industry, entertainment, tech, or agency environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Spanish language is a plus.
