About the position

As a Global Benefits Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall employee experience by ensuring competitive and comprehensive benefits offerings across different regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to design, communicate, and administer benefits programs that attract, retain, and support a diverse workforce. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Total Rewards & HR Technology and is based in the Waltham, MA office. Deciphera expects a minimum of three days a week on-site, with flexible hours to accommodate work/life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of global benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, life insurance) including employee inquiries, wellness programs, benefits orientation, enrollment support, leaves of absence, and terminations (COBRA).
  • Lead the annual US Open Enrollment process, prepare census data, develop communication plans, coordinate system setup and testing, and lead employee education sessions.
  • Manage all benefits transactions and approvals in Workday Benefits, troubleshoot system functionality, and coordinate vendor integrations.
  • Design and implement global wellness initiatives, including mental health programs, fitness challenges, and work-life balance initiatives.
  • Develop clear and engaging communication materials to educate employees about available benefits.
  • Use data-driven approaches to evaluate and recommend enhancements to current programs.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and manage external resources to ensure adherence to benefit plans.
  • Manage the global recognition program and develop annual budgets.
  • Coordinate relationships with benefit plan providers, brokers, third-party administrators, and other vendors.
  • Design, implement, and build scalable benefits programs across multiple regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Benefits.
  • Prior experience in the life sciences industry and global benefits preferred.
  • Workday Benefits experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proven excellent customer service skills and ability to be flexible, a team player.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a 'can do' attitude.
