We are recruiting for a high energy and motivated Manager of Global Accounting to join our Tempe, AZ Corporate Headquarter. The Manager of Global Accounting will provide support to the factories worldwide, research and document accounting positions for new, unusual and/or infrequent accounting events. Will assist in the monthly and quarterly international close process, including oversight of our revenue recognition practices. Will also work with various departments to analyze and properly account for the related transactions.

  • Research and develop accounting positions for new, unusual and/or infrequent accounting events
  • Provide support to factories globally
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and/or review assigned balance sheet & income statement analytics and fluctuation explanation
  • Prepare and/or review various reports related to the internal and external financial statements
  • Review customer and/or supplier contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatments based on US GAAP and company policies
  • Lead elements of accounting, analysis and reporting related to other areas as assigned
  • Provide timely analysis and reporting for crisp decision making to the Executive team
  • Oversight and ownership of assigned key processes and related controls
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, as needed, regarding compliance with SOX 404 requirements
  • Lead or participate in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
  • Support development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistent global application of accounting policies
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements for the accounting close process
  • Recruit, hire and develop a small team of direct reports
  • Assist the Director of Global Accounting and the Corporate Assistant Controller as needed
  • The successful candidate must possess at minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • At least five (5) years of professional accounting experience in a public accounting firm servicing public clients or equivalent in a large publicly traded company.
  • CPA required.
  • Demonstrate strong US GAAP technical knowledge
  • Subject Matter Expert for Revenue and technical accounting research
  • Be a problem solver with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with internal controls, processes and SOX
  • Exhibit superior attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency to resolve complex issues quickly and effectively
  • Be able to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new systems and concepts
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with all levels of management
  • Independently driven with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading teams
  • Proficiency with MS Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Experience working with global entities with a global accounting background is preferred
  • Semiconductor and/or manufacturing experience would be a plus
  • Previous experience with SAP, or other ERP is a plus. Experience with Oracle is also helpful
