The Manager of General Outpatient Program is responsible for coordinating the General Outpatient Services Department which includes outpatient counseling and medication management services. In addition, the manager will coordinate the associated psychiatric rehab support services provided to clients with significant mental health concerns to help them improve their functioning within their communities. The psychiatric rehabilitation services are provided by Rehab Counselors, Educational/Vocational Specialists, Case Managers, and Peer Specialists and include 1) coaching clients in social awareness and skill development; 2) improving relationships with family and friends; 3) providing opportunities for community integration; 4) learning skills to manage symptoms and improve daily living; and 5) accessing educational and vocational opportunities. The psych rehab staff work in collaboration with outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses to meet the overall needs of the clients.
