Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manger General Manufacturing 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the HALE organization. This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA. The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading activities of multiple cost centers including but not limited to safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives and factory accountability along with other duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years’ experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment OR High School Diploma AND 8 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment.
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory and/or management role supporting dynamic/cross-functional teams.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • Must be willing to work any shift including Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 2:00 am).

Nice To Haves

  • Good working knowledge of MES and SAP.
  • Experience in both production build and project management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively communicate and present presentations with various levels of leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for SOW execution and work assignment delegation by the front-line managers.
  • Ensure managers' direct reports are supported by front line leaders and aided with the proper technical support.
  • Provide clear and concise direction and coaching to front line leaders and other personnel.
  • Work well with others in a cross functional team.
  • Ensure functional and organizational goals are met by all team members.
  • Encourage and provide direction for career development of employees.
  • Provide leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
