Position Summary Directs project/portfolio managers in full scope of responsibilities associated with large and complex gas distribution and transmission projects and programs. Directs technical project/portfolio opportunities. Directs project/portfolio manager's role (definition of schedule, budget, implementation risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for extremely complex projects, portfolios and programs. Provides strategic and tactical project/portfolio implementation advice and direction. Conceptualizes and manages continuous improvement and project/portfolio implementation opportunities. Cultivates effective working relationships with internal and external customers and service providers. Essential Responsibilities Successfully defines workflows, accountabilities, resource requirements, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum project/portfolio implementation effectiveness and efficiency Develop and direct implementation processes for the multi-year Gas project/portfolio workbook plan. This includes establishing and managing service level agreements; identifying, securing and managing necessary internal/external service provider resources. Provide daily management of project/portfolio managers to insure that the workbook plan is implemented within scope, timing, and forecast guidelines Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with internal and external organizations to optimize project/portfolio implementation effectiveness. Continuously analyzes project/portfolio implementation effectiveness and creates, conceptualizes, and implements improvements. Responsible for providing strategic and tactical guidance and decision making associated with public and regulatory issues that are encountered during project/portfolio implementation. Aligns project/portfolio implementation policies and procedures with company objectives and strategies. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Minimum of 5 years experience with demonstrated success in a supervisory role overseeing complex technical projects. Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the areas of project management; cross-functional interaction; work direction; and performance management. Knowledge of engineering and construction projects. Requirements
