About The Position

The Freight Operations Manager at XPO is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service center, ensuring efficient delivery services, managing personnel, and maintaining revenue and cost controls. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor staff while adhering to industry regulations.

Requirements

• 4 years of related work experience
• Supervisory or management experience
• Experience in the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry
• Experience with hazardous materials regulations, OSHA and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
• LTL freight management and/or service center/management experience
• Experience driving a forklift
• Strong interpersonal and management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Handle the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery service provided to customers
• Guide the complete daily operations of the service center
• Oversee revenue, profit and cost controls
• Ensure proper staffing, utilization and management of personnel
• Mentor and manage all personnel working at the facility
