Job Summary Responsible for the development and implementation of the Maintenance and Technical Training programs across the fleet that meet the requirements of the Academy of Nuclear Training Accreditation Objectives and Regulatory requirements. The M&T Training Manager works closely with Maintenance, Chemistry, RP, and Engineering departments at multiple Vistra fleet sites to identify training needs and develop effective training programs that improve performance and support the strategic staffing plan of the Maintenance and Technical departments. Internally interfaces with Plant Managers, Directors of Maintenance, Senior Managers of RP / Chemistry, and Directors of Engineering across multi-sites across the fleet. Interfaces routinely with senior industry personnel including NRC, INPO, Nuclear Safety Review Board and Nuclear Oversight Committee. Job Description Key Accountabilities Ensures that training upholds Maintenance and Technical Standards of Conduct Developing and implementing training programs that align with the strategic goals and objectives of the Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, and Engineering Departments Collaborating with the Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, and Engineering Departments and fleet managers to identify training needs and developing training programs across the fleet Delivering training programs to Maintenance and Technical staff using a variety of methods, including distance learning, classroom instruction, lab and on-the-job training Oversee the Initial Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, and Engineering Training programs Oversee the Continuing Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, and Engineering Training programs Oversee the Upgrades/Modifications to flow loops and plant equipment mock-ups Communicate training concerns to the Director, Fleet Maintenance and Technical Training and Senior Director, Fleet Training Effectively interact as a fleet management representative with external agencies such as NRC and INPO Oversee the Training program procedures Conduct evaluations of Fleet programs and processes Manages a team of trainers - providing coaching and feedback to ensure the effective delivery of fleet training programs Education, Experience & Skill Requirements 6 years of Commercial Nuclear Power experience (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis) Maintenance or Technical supervisor experience (Preferred) Fully qualified nuclear training instructor (Preferred) 3 years of Discipline specific Vistra Line experience or other PWR/BWR facility (Preferred) 3 years of experience which involves oversight of an accredited Training program (Desired) Key Metrics Safety Excellence Quality Training Cost Optimization Continuous Improvement Operational Excellence Talent Development Problem solving/Decision making Job Family Engineering Services Company Vistra Nuclear Operations Company Locations Perry, Ohio Ohio We are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
