About The Position

IEM is looking for a Full Time- Manager, Financial Reporting who will be part of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing the internal financial statements, month end close process and all external and internal reporting requirements. Primary Location: Live anywhere within the United States Work will take place from a personal location and will depend on the need of the project. This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Four (4) or more years of accounting experience, including at least three (3) years in public accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership. Includes the ability to explain complex accounting and reporting issues to non-finance coworkers. Must possess a team orientated approach.
  • Proven track ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the company.
  • Strong, current technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
  • Excellent judgment and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong, current expertise in US GAAP accounting

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly financial close process.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reporting package for management.
  • Assist in technical accounting projects and research, including providing recommendations and analysis for specific transactions.
  • Manage the Deltek system, including becoming the key finance resource related to Deltek.
  • Assist the monthly close process through preparation and review of certain journal entries.
  • Manage, develop, and coach direct reports through their careers including providing direct feedback and coaching.
  • Review workpapers prepared by other team members, including technical financial reporting areas including cash flows.
  • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and implement as applicable, including presenting impacts to the Company.
  • Work with other departments across the Company to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements, as well as providing support on the accounting for certain transactions.
  • Responsible for the execution of certain internal controls over financial reporting that are integral to an effectively designed and operating internal control environment.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure the review and audit processes are efficient and effective.
  • Perform other duties and projects, as assigned, to assist the Finance organization.
  • Assist other areas of the business including treasury payment approvals.
