Requirements

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including strong exposure to technical accounting and financial reporting
  • Active CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching technical issues
  • Experience at a Big 4 firm and/or high-growth technology company
  • Proficient in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting an S-1 filing and transition to public company reporting
  • Background in a national office or accounting advisory practice
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth technology company
  • Familiarity with AI, SaaS/IaaS, or consumption-based models
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience implementing new accounting standards
  • Experience improving processes and supporting system implementations
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and build scalable processes
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • IPO & Financial Reporting Support preparation and review of the S-1, including financial statements, MD&A, and footnotes in line with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements
  • Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure reporting aligns with the overall S-1 narrative
  • Work with auditors, valuation specialists, and legal counsel to support filing and audit readiness
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and future SEC reporting requirements (10-K, 10-Q)
  • Assist with non-GAAP reconciliations, key metrics, and investor-facing disclosures
  • Draft and maintain technical accounting memos to support audits and SEC review
  • Support SOX 404(a) readiness by improving documentation and key controls over financial reporting
  • Help develop and update accounting policies and procedures in line with the U.S. GAAP
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close to ensure consistent application of accounting policies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and document accounting impacts of new initiatives and contracts
  • Improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase automation
  • Monitor new FASB guidance and support implementation of reporting changes
  • Provide guidance to team members on technical accounting topics
  • Support ad-hoc and special projects related to accounting and reporting
