About The Position

The Manager of Financial Reporting leads the external financial reporting function at FedEx, ensuring compliance with SEC rules and regulations as well as US GAAP. This role involves directing the preparation of consolidated financial statements, collaborating with external auditors, and overseeing complex accounting transactions across the enterprise. The position requires a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, along with effective communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field.
• Five (5) or more years of combined experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit.
• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting, including knowledge of SEC reporting requirements.
• Strong collaboration and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Effective organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with XBRL detailed tagging
• Experience with internal controls and SOX requirements
• CPA

Responsibilities

• Lead the external financial reporting function.
• Direct the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with SEC rules and regulations and US GAAP.
• Work with external auditors on the quarterly review and annual audit of the external financial statements.
• Supervise and direct certain accounting functions for the enterprise.
• Research and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements for FedEx.
• Provide oversight and review of complex accounting transactions across the enterprise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
