About The Position

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is seeking a Manager for the Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis (FPR&A) team. This role is crucial in achieving TNC's 2030 goals by driving key enterprise planning processes, delivering timely analyses and reporting, and serving as trusted financial partners for strategic decision-making and resource allocation. The Manager will support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities for global regions outside of North America, providing financial insights and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The position involves collaboration across a complex organization, engaging with stakeholders from various levels, and integrating financials with conservation strategic priorities. Responsibilities include supporting annual budgeting, maintaining financial models, analyzing performance, and preparing financial reports. The Manager will also participate in key financial initiatives and assist in preparing presentation materials for leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with computer and information management systems, Excel spreadsheets, and databases for financial analysis.
  • Experience in developing budgets and performing high-level financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and not-for-profit accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience.
  • MBA and/or CPA and not-for-profit GAAP accounting experience.
  • Technical expertise on complex accounting/financial issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year planning processes for global regions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying trends and variances.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to regional leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership teams to integrate strategic conservation priorities into financial plans.
  • Implement best practices in financial planning and reporting activities.
  • Work closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist other finance teams.
