The Finance Manager at EveryMind plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the organization's budget performance and projection forecasts. This position is responsible for managing both private and government grants and contracts, ensuring accurate financial projections that support decision-making. The Finance Manager collaborates with various departments to align financial resources with organizational goals and objectives, while also overseeing the development of multi-year budgets and compliance with government regulations.

  • Manage the development of multi-year budgets and perform fiscal management duties including data analyses and recommendations.
  • Oversee grant and contract budgets to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to support informed decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Develop processes and reports that facilitate collaboration and communication regarding budgets and projections.
  • Foster engagement with program and development teams.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting department on invoicing and tracking operating expenses.
  • Supervise projects from inception to conclusion.
  • Understand contract/grant invoicing and terms, ensuring detailed documentation.
  • Lead the creation of proposal budgets with comprehensive cost accounting.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to formulate detailed budget narratives.
  • Engage with program teams during proposal planning to meet financial goals.
  • Create training materials and lead staff training on grant compliance.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting grants and contracts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Financial Analyst.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate professional development for the Financial Analyst.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience managing financials.
  • Experience managing financials for non-profit organizations receiving federal, state, and foundation grants and contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Abila.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, and other technology platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical techniques.
