About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Finance Transformation to join our growing Operations Excellence practice. This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about modernizing the Office of the CFO—reimagining finance operating models, optimizing end-to-end finance processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making through technology, automation, and analytics. As a Manager, you will lead complex finance transformation engagements, manage high-performing project teams, and partner closely with CFOs and senior finance leaders to deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial consulting environment while helping clients translate strategy into sustained execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience leading or contributing to Finance Transformation initiatives, advising the Office of the CFO on large-scale process, operating model, data, and technology programs.
  • Deep functional expertise across the finance lifecycle, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, FP&A, Close & Consolidation, and adjacent enterprise processes.
  • Experience modernizing finance through automation, AI, analytics, and finance systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, and process optimization.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a passion for developing and coaching teams.
  • Advanced analytical and data visualization skills; strong Excel proficiency and comfort translating data into executive-ready insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and polished client-facing presence.
  • Experience in one or more of West Monroe’s core industries: Consumer & Industrial Products, Healthcare, Life Sciences, High Tech & Software, Utilities, Insurance, Banking, and/or Private Equity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, including current-state assessments, target operating model design, process reengineering, technology enablement, and change management.
  • Partner with senior finance executives (CFOs, Controllers, FP&A leaders) to align finance capabilities with enterprise strategy, growth objectives, and value creation priorities.
  • Design and implement future-state finance processes across the finance value chain, including FP&A, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Close & Consolidation.
  • Drive modernization of the Office of the CFO through automation, AI, analytics, and finance systems, ensuring solutions are scalable and adoption-ready.
  • Own delivery excellence by managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality across complex, multi-workstream engagements.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor consultants, fostering growth in finance transformation capabilities, client leadership, and delivery excellence.
  • Provide hands-on quality review and guidance on analyses, deliverables, and client communications.
  • Establish clear expectations, promote collaboration, and ensure alignment with West Monroe’s transformation methodologies and delivery standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and identify opportunities to expand finance transformation scope within existing client engagements.
  • Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and solution development focused on CFO transformation, finance modernization, and value realization.
  • Stay current on emerging finance trends, technologies, and operating model innovations to continuously elevate client impact.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Office of the CFO practice by developing methodologies, playbooks, tools, and reusable assets.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives to build a high-performing finance transformation team.
  • Represent West Monroe through industry events, conferences, and external thought leadership.
