About The Position

The Manager position within Bravado's US Finance team at Universal Music Group is pivotal in supporting the general accounting close cycle and corporate reporting process. This role involves financial analysis and audit support, requiring a deep understanding of the music, merchandise, and eCommerce landscape. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in general ledger accounting and corporate reporting, contributing to the financial health of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 5 years of general ledger accounting, audit, and financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in the use of Excel; experience with Macros is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting and financial applications software; Hyperion Financial Management/Smartview Reporting, SAP, and Navision.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, risk assessment, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to influence and negotiate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Results oriented; proactive and detail oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and team skills with an end-to-end business mindset.
  • Strong learning agility and ability to adapt quickly to new information.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA credentials preferred.
  • Music/Entertainment or Merchandise industry experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monthly financial close and reporting process.
  • Prepare journal entry support for the central accounting team.
  • Compile necessary support for compliance policies.
  • Liaison with various external and internal clients.
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
