About The Position

The Manager, Film Strategy & Analytics will be a key leader in optimizing Alamo Drafthouse's film programming and performance. This role is responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to inform film selection, scheduling, and marketing strategies, ultimately driving attendance and revenue across all locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Film Studies, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, strategy, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in the entertainment, film distribution, or exhibition industry.
  • Proven expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R).
  • Strong understanding of the film industry, including distribution models, exhibition landscape, and audience behavior.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for film and the unique Alamo Drafthouse cinema experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive film strategy plans based on market trends, audience demographics, competitive analysis, and historical performance data.
  • Lead the analysis of film-level performance metrics, including box office gross, attendance, ticket pricing effectiveness, and customer feedback.
  • Identify emerging film genres, independent films, and niche content opportunities to diversify programming and attract new audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the film buying and programming teams to inform film acquisition decisions and optimize scheduling across the circuit.
  • Partner with marketing and promotions teams to develop data-backed campaigns for new releases and ongoing programming.
  • Create and present regular reports and actionable insights to senior leadership regarding film performance, strategic recommendations, and industry trends.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to model potential film performance, forecast attendance, and assess ROI of film investments.
  • Stay current with the evolving film distribution landscape, emerging technologies, and audience consumption habits.
  • Mentor and potentially manage junior analysts or team members within the film strategy department.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
